Spring Wish List 2015

SpringWishList

One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six

Don’t you just love spring? The days are longer, the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming…! It feels good to put away the boots and sweaters I wore all winter long and break out the skirts and sundresses I’ve been neglecting. As with all changes in season, I’ve quite enjoyed rediscovering old favorites that haven’t seen the outside of my closet for a while.

Then again, it’s always fun to dream… Here are a few of the products I’m lusting after this spring.

Finding shoes that I like is always a nightmare. In addition to wearing a size 11 (call me Bigfoot), I suffer from plantar fasciitis, which can become quite painful if I don’t wear shoes with good support. I buy most of my shoes from The Walking Store, which can get a bit tricky. The brands they stock tend to be on the pricier side, and many of their shoes resemble your grandmother’s orthodics. Sometimes though, I stumble across a pair like the ones you see above, which strike the perfect balance between sensible and stylish.

I’m still on the hunt for a good contouring product. (Or maybe I’m just not doing it right…) The Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powder  is a cult classic, and I’ve been itching to try it.

Tea for your bath?! I first read about this on Fleur de Force’s blog and I about jumped out of my chair. I mean, it’s like this product was made for me! I went to The Body Shop to smell it, and it smells amazing! Very fresh and springy, though it may not be to everyone’s taste. And how cute is that little bath infuser?! I decided to wait to buy it until after I moved, so now that I’m in my new place, I’m not sure I can resist…

If you read my last post, you’ll know that I’m loving orchid colored lipsticks for spring. I saw this Chanel lipstick in a post from Alice Yeh and instantly fell in love. I’ve never purchased a Chanel lipstick before, but this one may need to be my first. Look at how gorgeous that color is on her! (Although, at $36 a tube, it had better be willing to tuck me in and read me a bedtime story…)

I’m suddenly becoming a lover of floral perfumes. For years I preferred very sweet scents, but I think I’m outgrowing that phase. I received a sample of this Dolce and Gabbana perfume with a purchase from Sephora and I’ve been savoring every last drop. It smells so wonderful and sophisticated– I can’t get enough.

And finally, I don’t know if this last item counts as a “wish list” item or not. Technically, I’ve already ordered it… it just hasn’t arrived in the mail yet. I’ve been dying for a pair of prescription sunglasses for ages, but they’re just so expensive. Finally, I decided that with the amount of money I spend on makeup, I should just suck it up and buy a pair. After using the “At Home Try On” system from Warby Parker, I decided to go with these Ellison sunglasses in the color “Whiskey Tortoise.” I’m so excited for them to arrive in the mail– I know I’ll be wearing them nonstop.

For those who don’t know, Warby Parker is an online eyewear company that will send you five pairs of glasses to try on for free. They sell both regular glasses and sunglasses, with the option for prescription lenses. For every pair of glasses you buy, the company donates a pair to someone in need. If you’re interested in learning more, I’d be happy to do a review about my experience ordering with them!

That about wraps things up! Let me know what products you’re loving/lusting this season in the comments below!
