Four Highlights Since I’ve Been Away

I’ve recently returned to blogging after a (not so) brief hiatus. This break occurred during a particularly busy period in my life. There’ve been lots of changes, so I thought I’d fill you in on the important stuff.

Getting Back on the Horse

It’s been a long year. (9 months?) As someone who’s always succeeded in school— always enjoyed school, I never could have imagined that I’d find graduate school as challenging as I have. This past year has knocked me on my butt, run me over with an 18-wheeler, and left me on the side of the road wondering how on earth I wound up here. I haven’t had a lot of time to focus on maintaining balance or spending time doing the things that make me happy. Most of my energy has been expended just trying to keep my head above water in my classes. I’ve lost a lot of things that used to make me happy— hobbies like photography, baking and makeup. And I’ve decided that it’s time to change that. I’ve decided to start blogging again. I’m not entirely sure of the direction of my content or how often I’ll be able to…

On biting off more than you can chew.

Hi readers. It’s been a while. The last time we spoke, I’d just launched my brand new blog and I was full of creative energy and enthusiasm. But then life happened, things got crazy, and Tea and Sea had to take a backseat. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing! Not by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, in the last few months I’ve gotten married, left my job to start graduate-school full time, and moved to North Carolina! Needless to say, it’s been a little hectic… And while I’ve missed this blog and our tiny, little community, I’m trying to work on balance. It’s been a bit elusive lately. Despite all of the new and exciting things happening, there’ve been a fair number of challenges as well. I left an incredible group of friends, experienced tremendous culture shock, and had to re-learn what it means to be a student (and how to function on…

My Pre-Wedding Skincare Routine

About a year ago, I discovered the magic of skincare. It was never something I thought much about, but once I began experimenting, I was hooked. What better way to feel (and look!) like a magical, glowy goddess than to indulge in a daily pamper session?

I’ve used a number of products in the past—both good and bad. But with my wedding a little over a month a way (Wait, what?!) I wanted to be extra kind to my skin. I’ve been using these products over the past several weeks, and my skin has never looked better. I know I can count on them to leave me looking my best for my big day.

Best of Beauty 2015

Hi friends! Look who’s finally written their 2015 best of beauty post! It only took a bajillion years…

Asking me to pick my favorite makeup products is like asking me to pick a favorite child—it just can’t be done. I love all of them for different reasons. (Er…most of them, anyway.) That’s why, initially, I wasn’t going to write a 2015 favorites post. January is almost over, everyone else has done it, and I worried no one would want to read it. But then, one of my friends asked me to write it, and here I am. I’ve caved. Not all of these were 2015 discoveries, but I definitely used the heck out of all of them last year! I decided to save my skincare favorites for a future post—I’m long overdo for an updated skincare routine anyhow!

Without further ado, here’s my 2015 All Star Lineup!
