Belated Birthday Date | FOTD

Last night, Dave and I went out to dinner and to see the new Cinderella movie as a sort of belated birthday celebration. My real birthday was last week, but I spent it at my grandfather’s funeral and I didn’t much feel like celebrating. Deciding it was time to stop moping around my apartment, I used the date as an excuse to get dolled up.

The two of us headed to Pacci’s, a local pizza restaurant that I love. They cook their pizzas in a wood-burning oven, and there’s something about the crust that’s extra delicious. I ordered a pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil and parmesan. We decided to skip dessert, but I was certainly tempted since the restaurant has a wall of Nutella at the entrance.

And now we return to our regularly scheduled programming…

Hi everyone! I’m so sorry for the long intermission! Things got pretty crazy around the holidays. With the amount of traveling I’ve been doing, I didn’t have much time to keep up with this blog… I feel like I keep writing, “I promise to blog more consistently” in every single post, but I feel like my temporary hiatus did me some good.

Since we last spoke, I:

  • Enjoyed a sunny Thanksgiving in Florida with my boyfriend and his family
  • Revamped my personal photography website and started working on some new creative collaborations (stay tuned!)
  • Spent two weeks in Wisconsin for Christmas with my parents and my (not so) little brother
  •  Rang in the New Year with friends in D.C.

Oh, and one more piece of exciting news…

Getting to Know Me

Since this blog is just getting started, I thought I might give all of you a chance to get to know me. I found this tag floating around the interwebs. Hopefully it’s interesting and not too long!

Feel free to leave your answers in the comments. I’d love the chance to get to know you, too!
