Professor Oleg Glebov published a latest research in Cell Reports titled "Nanoscale Structural Plasticity of the Active Zone Matrix Modulates Presynaptic Function". In this research, he employ a combination of super-resolution microscopy, quantitative clustering analysis, ratiometric imaging and optogenetics to demonstrate that activity dependent molecular congestion at the presynaptic matrix limits synaptic function.
